About Us
company overview & history
The bhd Partnership was established in December 2004 following the purchase of the Civil, Structural and Architectural departments of B. C & T Consultants Ltd.
B. C & T Consultants was founded in 1986 by Richard Birdsall, Ron Campbell and Don Thompson to provide Civil, Structural, Process and Mining expertise.
Don Thompson retired and Tim Harrison joined the company in 1991 to establish an Architectural Department and was later joined by Neil Duffield.
Richard Birdsall, Tim Harrison and Neil Duffield now own and manage bhd Partnership Ltd.
The company is based in Whitby, North Yorkshire and whilst the majority of projects are currently located in the North East they have completed work throughout the UK.
The company consists of nine technical staff and two administrative staff.
A Chartered Civil Engineer, a Chartered Surveyor and Chartered Architectural Technologist with six technicians and a Health and Safety Consultant.
Company Vision Statement
The bhd Partnership’s objective is to provide a high quality service in architectural, sustainable construction and engineering design, project management and surveying, all of these expertise are essential in a company that wishes to satisfy the most exacting of clients.
As a relatively young company we intend to build on the design awards and success achieved in 2005 / 2006 and 2007 / 2008 by strengthening our ties with existing development companies and by partnering with developers and construction companies in the North of England in order to offer a professional design and build service to clients.
Currently our geographic area of work is predominantly from Teesside in the North, to Scarborough in the South and to Harrogate and Thirsk in the West, as we build on our success and broaden our client base we look to consolidate in these areas and expand further North, to Beverley and Hull, in the South to Malton and York and Leeds in the West.
